What this estimate includes

This helper adds the unpaid wage amounts you enter and subtracts amounts already received. It can organize regular wages, overtime, night or holiday pay, severance, unused annual-leave pay, and other wage items before you contact the employer or an official labor service. The result is not a legal judgment that every entered item is owed.

How the calculation works

  1. Each blank category is treated as zero. Whole-won amounts entered for regular wages, overtime, night or holiday pay, severance, annual-leave pay, and other wages are added into an entered subtotal.
  2. Any amount already received for those same items is subtracted once from the subtotal. The result cannot fall below zero.
  3. The helper does not recalculate entitlement. Use the linked minimum-wage, overtime, night or holiday, and severance calculators first when an amount needs a separate estimate.
  4. No interest, penalties, taxes, deductions, limitation periods, or litigation amounts are added automatically because their application depends on facts and legal conditions.

Assumptions

  • Every entered amount refers to the same worker and the same unpaid-pay issue, and amounts already received are not deducted inside an individual category already.
  • The user keeps a separate period-by-period record showing how each amount was calculated.
  • Amounts are gross Korean won before taxes or deductions unless official payroll records require another treatment.
  • The tool is used to prepare questions and evidence, not to determine employee status or compel payment.

Example

If entered unpaid regular wages are KRW 3,000,000, overtime pay is KRW 180,000, night or holiday pay is KRW 204,000, and estimated severance is KRW 5,877,605, the subtotal is KRW 9,261,605. If KRW 1,000,000 was already received for those items, the potential amount still to check is KRW 8,261,605.

Limits and cautions

  • The result does not prove that an employment relationship, working time, wage category, severance eligibility, or unpaid balance exists.
  • Do not enter the same hours or payment in more than one category. Overtime and night or holiday premiums can overlap, so use the separate calculators carefully.
  • The helper does not calculate statutory delayed-payment interest because exclusions and dispute conditions can change whether it applies.
  • Limitation periods and filing procedures can change and may depend on the claim. Seek official help promptly rather than waiting for a calculator result.
  • For a formal complaint, keep the employment contract, payslips, bank records, schedules, attendance records, messages, and employer details.
